Frequently Asked Questions

Which unit of measurement are the consumptions displayed in heat cost allocators ?

The heat cost allocators are made according to standard EN 834, which clarifies that units of measurement of heat cost allocators are proportional to the energy emitted by the radiators, under specific conditions, but it does not measure directly the energy. Therefore, the unit is dimensionless "... .."

The equity in the cost allocation is ensured by the fact that all installed Heat Cost Allocators are of the same brand and model (hence high measurement repeatability) and mounted with the identical rules, according to EN 834 standard (position, parameters, etc).

The heat cost allocators can be tampered with?

The heat cost allocators are made of several protections of tampering. The fastening system provides a seal designed for tamper-proof. If tampered, in addition to obvious signs of the broken seal the system stores the date and time of opening.

How much do you save ?

At building level typically there is an average savings of 15% to 30% the first year and a further 5% in the second one.
At the individual level, applying a different criterion of cost allocation based on actual consumption, apartment that gets less heating from the radiators saves more.
